About Monster Party
======================================================
Background:

This is one of those Japanese made games that was only
released in the US in censored form. It had always
intrigued me because there were rumblings of a
Japanese prototype that existed where the game was
quite different. So, when a prototype finally got into
the hands of people willing to dump the ROM, translating
this bizarre game became possible, but let me tell you
about them people.

A few years ago in the illegal reproduction community,
two brothers(?) acquired the prototype cartridge after
spending a nice sum of money. To recoup their money,
they decided to do a reproduction run of the unaltered
prototype and after a certain period of time, they would
release the ROM on the internet. Well, it's great that
they decided to release the ROM, but they had no rights
to produce those reproductions and committed a blatant
act of piracy in the process. What's more is that they
produced a pile of useless junk because the prototype
while uncensored, is still an unfinished piece of work
that lacks the extra polish of the US version. But hey,
at least something good came out of the folly of others.

This translation is not a straight translation and is
more akin to a localization especially in regards to
the boss text. Myself and Ryusui went through the
text and made many changes so that the end result
would be a humorous one. Eien ni Hen also lended
some feedback for the text to improve our
translation. Now for the really important part.

In addition to hacking and translating, I enlisted
the aid of rainponcho to port over all of the
positive changes made to the US version. He spent
quite a bit of time and effort doing and deserves
the utmost praise for his work. This is the list of
changes he made to the game.

Patching Instructions
======================================================
The patch is in either IPS or BPS format and can be
applied with FLIPS which can be found here:

http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1040/

The patch needs to be applied to the Japanese prototype
and not the US ROM.

Monster Party Famicom Proto.nes

We would be highly grateful, if you find some time to
contact us with proposals or corrections. Information
on found bugs or corrections would be highly
appreciated.

P.S.

Support the game industry by buying used games!

Even if the money doesn't go to the developers
directly, as the games become rare and harder
to find, the price goes up, and people become
more inclined to buy new releases "while they can!"
